Expenses
Due to the large number of our construction sites, our employees are not always deployed close to home. In such cases, we pay additional catering expenses (redemption). The additional food expenses are paid to you monthly with the payslip and shown on your annual income tax certificate.

As a dual working student, I completed an apprenticeship as a concrete builder. I completed my bachelor's degree in 2015 and my master's degree in 2018. Right after that, I started here as a construction manager and became head construction manager in January 2024. ECHTERHOFF gave me the opportunity to take on large and demanding construction projects. Working closely with my supervisors was important right from the start in order to gain a lot of experience and develop myself quickly. As a senior construction manager, I am now passing on my knowledge and experience to my young colleagues, just as I once began as a working student.
Here I completed my training as a reinforced concrete builder at ECHTERHOFF. Thanks to the great importance placed on progress and continuing education here, I was quickly trained as a foreman. I have been passionately involved in formwork construction since 2016. We focus on designing and assembling formwork, which is essential for stable and precise concrete structures. Through careful planning, assembly and curing, we ensure that our concrete buildings are of the highest quality.
In 9th grade, I completed an internship as an industrial clerk at ECHTERHOFF. This experience reinforced my desire to do an apprenticeship here. I successfully completed my technical college entrance qualification in economics and administration and completed an annual internship at ECHTERHOFF. I then began my training as an industrial clerk and, after successful completion, was taken directly into the HR department.
After graduating from high school in 2021, I became aware of ECHTERHOFF online and applied directly. Since April 2022, I have been studying civil engineering using the shared week model and working at ECHTERHOFF in parallel. This combination of study and work enables me to gain valuable experience and to develop professionally and personally. I will complete my bachelor's degree at the end of September 2025 — the dual study program was the perfect way for me to take on responsibility early on and be optimally prepared for my professional future.
Digitalization is revolutionizing all processes in our construction company, and as an IT administrator, it is exciting to be part of this transformation. Given the size of the company of 700 people, it was necessary to implement digital projects such as GPS tracking systems for construction equipment. One of the biggest challenges was to integrate and harmonize the various construction sites with their different levels of digitization. It is exciting to overcome these challenges and find solutions that work for everyone.
